A second teaching field in middle level education is available to candidates seeking a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in Elementary Education (K-6) or a major in a teaching field at the secondary level. These courses, along with a passing score on the Praxis Subject Assessment, meet the requirements to teach middle level students in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science or History Comprehensive. Candidates adding a second teaching field would select one of the following areas of coursework.

ECON 191, GEOG 106, POLS 101 and SOC 100 are accepted for General Education Hours and Program Hours
Admission to Teacher Education is required prior to enrollment in HIST 479.
