Minor in Special Education

A minor in Special Education is available to students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.  The courses taken as part of the minor will provide students with a provisional special education endorsement in conjunc­tion with the completion of their BSED.

Special Notes

1. 60 hours with a 2.50 GPA, must be completed before enrolling in SSLS 510 Overview of Special Education or SSLS 511 Overview of Special Education (Birth through 6th Grade).

2. Student must be admitted to teacher education program before taking SSLS 738 Characteristics of Students with Adaptive Learning Needs.

3. SSLS 738 Characteristics of Students with Adaptive Learning Needs is a pre-requisite for all other education courses with the exception it may be taken concurrently with SSLS 744 Special Education Technology.
